Restoring Hemoglobin
One of the goals for a patient who has a large blood loss is the restoration of normal hemoglobin levels.  This is partially done by blood transfusions, usually to a hemoglobin level of about 10g/dL.  A hemoglobin level that low will leave the patient feeling fatigued, but should be high enough to protect the heart from anemic ischemia.

Become certified in Emergency Nursing!

As a certified Emergency Nurse you will have:

  • More confidence*
  • Fewer errors*
  • Better collaboration*
  • Better patient satisfaction with your care*

*(from the American Nurses Association survey of certified nurses)

We can help you achieve your dreams of becoming a certified Emergency Nurse. In this unique program, you will answer 150 questions in the same distribution and format as the actual exam. This is the program that has been getting rave reviews from CENs all over the country.

"Your review course/CDs covered all that I needed to know. My other review book was far too detailed and confusing leaving me unsure of what to study. Your course nailed it for me and was truly just the review I needed." JR, RN, CEN.

"Hello to all, just wanted you and David to know I passed my CEN exam!!!! Yeah!!! I have heard some say that it does not pay to study for the exam. I can only say that without the CEN Success Program, I doubt I would have been able to pass and become a CEN. Also, I think I have improved my clinical judgment and critical thinking skills.

David does make very difficult concepts easy to understand, remember and apply to practice. The investment I made is very valuable to my professional growth, to patient outcomes and also to the organization I work for. One of my responsibilities is to promote certification for practicing nurses, and reaching one of my personal goals, better positions me to assist other nurses." MEG, RN, CEN.
